Timberland Management

Timberland Management
A management plan is a must for today’s timberland owner. A management plan guides the landowner as to what steps to take and when. Usually a 10-year plan, this written plan includes: a detailed current inventory of the timber, recommended actions, and a timeline for future management activities (thinning and final harvest schedule, reforestation, site-preparation, timber improvement activities, etc.). In addition to the plan itself, a high-quality, GPS/GIS generated timber map is included that shows boundary lines and different timber types and stands.
